The Programs listed on these pages are Programs typically found on most Computers. Some are Shareware and Demos, and some are Freeware. We are not necessarily recommending any specific program, we are just providing handy links to the most common programs. Most of the Program descriptions are taken from the Author's Website. For Help on installation, and troubleshooting, please refer to the respective Program's Website.

SPECIAL NOTE:   Occasionally a Program you install will give you an error message telling you it cannot run because it cannot find a necessary file. See our  Required components  page for any necessary Windows files a program may need that you are missing.

One of the following Programs are recommended to insure complete downloads from the Internet. These Programs will automatically or manually resume file downloading even if your computer was turned off while downloading, the modem was disconnected from the phone line while downloading, a telephone extension was picked up while downloading, or any other reason you get dis connected from the Internet while downloading.

File Managers

A "Must have" for working with the files on your Hard drive. Helps you to copy, move, delete, zip, & un-zip files. Also helpful in downloading & installing Programs from the Internet. If you have had your Computer for awhile, or install and uninstall a lot of programs, you will eventually need a good File manager program for routine file maintenance and Hard drive "Spring cleaning" to recover wasted Disk space.
