Animated GIF (Gif89a) Basics
Animated GIFs are the most common type of multimedia found on the Web
and are supported in all modern browsers. Its a very simple process.
A single image can be saved in a GIF format. You can take several of
your gif images, bring them up in a gif animation software (see below)
and set up the sequence with timing. Once this is done, you can save it. The animation is now a gif89a
although the extension will look like a regular .gif extension. Do
not be confused, its still an animation. When you are pointing to
in your html code, you do it the same way as you would a regular
gif image.
Bu sure to use good compression software to reduce the size of each image before
you put them together as an animated gif.
